Yesterday was the big day. Alex is officially 13. He loved his jack skellington hoodie. It was a good day. Gotta love pizza and basketball. He was awful embarrassed all the attention he received. Pretty normal for him.
This morning we slept in. Went to the church and took the banner down from last night and I made a few notes for tomorrow. Then we went to my Dad's and hung out until after one. We stopped at McDonald's on the way home (why I have no idea because my tummy already hurts).
All the excitement came in the mail today. We got Alex's grades and I got my meds.
Alex's grades were great all As and Bs. Everything was improved or the same. I am very happy with his report card. He was a straight A student until 5th grade. Its been a bit of a challenge ever since.
My meds are something you would think I wouldn't get excited about but honestly I am. I have to take 4 meds a day and two of them are very expensive. I had my health insurance changed to the conference group plan rather than the church group plan (I was the only one on the group) mostly because my out of pocket on prescriptions were SO high and because the cost per month was only $7 more. Well today I got my first set of meds under the new plan. First of all WOW so fast to get them. Also, the bill with them. My most expensive med was costing $187 a month and the 2nd highest was $90 a month. The other two are generics and much less expensive $28 and $5 per month. Yes add that up $310 a month. Its not like I make much and I was only getting half of that reimbursed. The new plan I am on does 3 month mail order meds for all regular meds. I knew the two expensive ones would be $30-$40 per quarter each and I wasn't sure where the other two would fall but I thought it would be $5-$15 per per quarter each. Yes I said that right PER QUARTER not per month. As long as ya do mail order they only charge one co-pay per refill and since they only fill every 90 days.... SO cool right? Well it just got cooler. The bill says my total amount due is $80. They charged me $40 each for the two expensive ones and they recently had a change in procedure - all generics are free. WOW!!! What a relief!
I said I was going to take a nap today. I think I will go give that a try. My thoughts are finally calming and rest seems easier. I am really enjoying my pogo account too. I think I might hit a million in the next month!
