Its been an up and down day.
I went to the doc and got some meds for my ears. He said that if they don't work he will have to refer me to a ENT and I may be a candidate for tubes. YUCK. He also said my foot thing is common. There is a tendon in your foot that is more giving as you grow but once ya stop growing it becomes kinda stubborn - so I really am supposed to wear my new balances (cuz of the extra arch support they have) and do some stretches to help it out.
Alex's appointment got moved but that is ok cuz he doesn't seem to need it. He has had sore sinuses and a watery eye. His eye swelled up yesterday but I really think he was just rubbing it too much cuz of the watering. He said its not watered at all today and its not even red.
Richie is in need of a doc appointment but cant get in until Monday so I am going to try to do some switching. He popped something in his right knee yesterday in weights class. Its swelled up big and ugly. Its a little different than it was when he had to have surgery on his left knee almost two years ago but it needs checked out sooner than Monday. I am going to work on that.
I went and talked to Dad for a while tonight. It was nice. I have missed our visits since Grandma has been here in the hospital.
Mom called this afternoon and said that the cardiologist has decided that her main problem is not her heart it is actually her lungs. They will be doing more tests tomorrow. This is a positive thing. She still has the heart issue but since its not causing the lung thing they should have more options.
I went to work for a while this evening. I met with my worship design chairperson and she and I did a few prep things for our Walk to Jerusalem that officially starts tomorrow. We already had the basics taken care of but had not handled how to do the weekly devotional or how to handle the bulletin part during the Walk. I am super excited. We also talked about our Valentines Dinner and have a easy plan B together if the person who we asked to do the dinner declines and we have it outlined for the entertainment part either way. That feels good.
I am tired tonight but definitely clearer than I have been in a while. I got really mad today and I have worked that through my head well. No ill feelings I really think I did the right thing. I am super excited about some of the things coming up at the church and I am really happy about the Walk. I am a little disappointed about not having my pedometer in today but since I didn't today I should tomorrow (they said 5 biz days and it was ordered last Thursday). The people who organize the benefits for the UMC people have aligned with VirginHealthMiles www.virginhealthmiles.com and we are doing our own year long walk program. The pedometers are free and they download all your information to the website and through the program you can also earn up to $300 during the year. I think between the Walk at the church and the $s incentive I should be able to get a good routine going.
