Saturday

So much for a quiet day.

Jess ended up staying again last night. I love having her here but we don't have an extra bedroom so she just sleeps with me and I am so not used to sharing my bed anymore (kinda sad huh? lol). At least the dogs got along much better last night and we all slept. In fact I slept so well I don't even remember when Jess got here.

I finally got up about 8:30am which was nice and Jess got outta here not too long after so that she could go with her mom to take her niece back to KC.

Alex and I lazed a bit and I played on Pogo cuz I decided I wanted the New Year badge. I quickly won the two badges of the week and then off we went to buy paint for his room. We got all the paint we needed and then had to wait for the day to warm some more so that we could open the windows and paint. While we were waiting I worked on and completed the last badge needed for the New Years Badge. I have never won badges so quickly and easily and I think I found another game I really like cuz of the ones today.

Painting went quite smoothly. The tape didn't stick as well as I would have liked but that's ok cuz we are going to paint the trim the next nice day anyway. Alex was excited at first but then got disappointed because the paint wasn't drying as dark as he thought it would. But he just told me about 10 mins ago that the paint is now only about a shade lighter than the paint chip. Which is fine with me because the color that we compromised on was a little darker than I wanted lol. We will see how it turns out. I think his room will look awesome when its done. There are a few things we are lacking and those are minor and on the birthday list. I hope we have another nice day soon so that we can get the trim painted. We have paint to paint his dresser as well. He has a bunch of Chinese themed things that we have accumulated over time. So we are going with the black comforter and black with grey dragons shams and bed skirt with dark gray (steel) walls white trim and black light switches and vent cover and dresser. We also got black panel curtains with this cool scroll-y decorative curtain rod and black sheers. Most of the stuff we have for the walls are black or red. It should look really sharp when its done and he is totally excited to finally be working on it.

We have visited grandma a couple times today and she unfortunately has revered back to the person she has become. The last few days she has been "grandma" and today she was more confused and so forth. At least we had a few good days.

We are currently waiting on Alex's sheets in the dryer. As soon as those are done and his bed is made I am heading to bed. I still think I would feel tons better if I could just get my schedule back together. Having too many weird days in a row has messed me up. No holidays for a while though. It will come together.

Tomorrow should be a quieter day. I would like to cook a bit and that way there will be less to do through the week. Its going to be a busy one.
