Catch Up

First and foremost let me just say this - I have not blogged because I get tired of feeling like all I do is bitch and so I have been trying to take the time to work it out in my head. I'm not there yet but I am becoming more ok with the screaming in my head (notice I said screaming not voices - big difference). I am SO tired of death and illness and my own soreness and illness. I know I cant stop it but damn these are good people and my own stuff will just take time I guess! Life is just too short for some.

With that outta the way tomorrow is the day before Christmas! In my line of work I dont get the day off (always gotta go on Christmas Eve ya know) but its my fav service all year and I would go regardless if I worked there or not.

On a totally positive note I am back online. I was working on my Prairie Land Food paperwork Friday night (Saturday was grocery pickup) and looked down and realized I had some how split my power cord in two. Ugh! Of course the battery on a laptop only works so long so I had to have strength and leave the computer off. No yahtzee since Friday! WOW. lol it surprisingly wasnt so bad. We did have a busy weekend though so Im sure that helped. Unfortunletly I really wanted my laptop to work at home over the weekend and stuff so that I could take off Christmas Eve and Christmas but that now means I will have to work this weekend instead - but I think that I have done enough yesterday and today that I can do it at home now that I have a charged up computer again.

Another BIGGER positive. The pipes in my house are all working again. Last week when we had the awful cold blast I had the kitchen pipes and the washer pipes freeze. No big deal on the washer those always freeze VERY big deal on the kitchen sink. Well today I had like barely warm bath water and that was after I realized it was starting to happen last night and turned up the water heater so I called the local fixit it place and they came by. The kid thought it was totally cool cuz the brought blow torches and hack saws with them. Anyway long story short its all fixed and even the kitchen sink works right now - aparently even though I had gotten all the water running again on my own the pipes were not completly thawed.

The kid and I saw twilight over the weekend and he finally convinced me to read the book. Surprisingly they have not changed too much for the movie. At least so far I just started the book last night and Im not quite half done. I highly recomend the book. Its definetly not just a kid or teen thing. Back to the book.
