Tuesday

Its rainy! Its the 125 Celebration. and as always Its crazy!

Most importantly NO MORE MICE! I am super excited to be able to report that. 11 days with no signs of any more. I even managed to make myself go into the basement over the weekend and get out grandma some clothes for the seasons change. She was quite happy.

Today I had the start of my crown cap whatever it is thing. Last August I had a tooth break (on a cookie sprinkle no less) and so I finally started having some much needed work. We are finally back to the original broken tooth and in 3 weeks all my work will be caught up. Word of advise - keep up with your dental work - 10 years of lack of maintenance has cost me an appointment a month for over a year to fix teeth and two root canals and caps. the cleanings would have been much easier.

This weekend is the big Scout camp out in the Cheyenne Bottoms up by Great Bend. I am so excited because I have never been up that way except to Lake Wilson when I was quite small - I don't remember it but have saw the pics. I have taken over the food part of it. As much as I love scouts I know I am not the true scout leader. I am however comfortable in parts of it and try to take over those parts so that Dan has less to do. This is the first time that I have completely taken over the food side and it has kinda thrown me because they decided to throw in a scout skills competition to the meal - of course I already had the whole menu planned and had to start over. They have to cook on a stick. It will be fine. I just had to rework and just in case ya don't know I don't always adjust to change easily - especially after I have it all figured out.

I have kinda had a weird thing go on in the last couple of months. A guy I went to high school has came back to town - well he has been in town but worked out of town so we never crossed paths anyway he now works in town so we see each other from time to time. We have spoke a couple times but not really a catch up how ya been for the last 13 years. Anyway we had a heart to heart at the store on Thursday and his grandma (his grandparents raised him until high school) is in poor health - anyway don't wanna get into that. Now I have this weird I want to take care of him complex going on. I'm sure its just cuz this thing is too close to mine (previously). Weird! I don't normally do that sort of thing regardless of their situation. Yes I know that could be argued cuz I am a fixer, but this is totally different. I literally want to take care of hug cook and all that. I'm not going to worry about it for now.

Work is crazy. Its almost fall fest. Its almost annual conference. Its NUTS! I had no biz being gone at that class last week but it was so worth it I don't regret it. I think tomorrow will be slightly quieter which will be helpful. I have lots to do and just need some TIME.

I need to bring the carpet cleaner home from the church. Its been too rainy and my house is smelling like wet dog. GROSS! Thank goodness I have lots of febreeze.

I cant wait to get the new back door on. I ordered it in the spring and I know its in but the guy had lots of jobs before this one and hasnt been able to come get it put on. I asked my mom if she would be offended if I asked her to stay out of our house this weekend while taking care of the dog. She didn't get it at first but after I explained the back door she understood and wasn't offended. Since that other big piece broke off over the weekend I just dont want it used anymore than it has to be.

Back to Fall Fest. My tea basket is looking pretty cool. Crysie is going to bring me some additional accessories from the tea shop she works at (Zoomdwebies) to add to it too and I have to get a special Lipton tea that I love that I am going to add to it too. Its a Bavarian Wild Berry flavor in those pyramid bags. Its my 2nd fav. My absolute fav is blueberry from that tea shop Crysie works at and I already had her get me some of that and she picked up a pomegranate tea too. I cant wait to get it finished. I hope I have time to get my bear together too.

We even managed to get Alex's bed changed over for winter today. Flannel sheets, heated blanket all that stuff. I hope he doesnt kick it all off like he does his regular sheets and blankets. Maybe he will sleep better. He has complained that he hasnt slept AT ALL the last two nights.

I can tell its bed time. I'm out.
