The Day After

The office was a zoo today.

Services were great Wednesday.

Christmas itself wasn't too awful - aside from my mother's drunk current / former / something boyfriend. I know its dumb but I still hope that someday she will think her family is more important.

The weather was beautiful today. How lucky were we? I kinda wish that we had the weather of the last two days for the weekend. Alex wants to use his Christmas money to completely redo his room. The first step of course is to paint. Painting in the winter may be a hard thing to accomplish. Of all the cool things he got I think its really awesome that he is taking his money to do a project.

Even though I am still thoroughly steamed at my mother, my fav gift came courtosy of her. I now have the most imporant pieces to the WIllow Tree Nativity set. I had already received the 3 wise men from Pastor Don and Joy but I now also have the holy family and the ox and goat too. All thats left is the Shepherd and animal set and the two angels. There are also a barn and some stars if ya wanna go with those but I am not real worried about those. I also got some new oven mit, hot pads, and dish towls that match my kitchen. The towels and stuff were a gift from my grandma and the Willow Tree things were my gifts from Alex - mom did their shopping this year.

This weekend I plan on working from home. I really should have worked last weekend but just had too many things going on otherwise. I love doing the newsletter though. It always revives me when I get frustrated. We also are going to try to tackle Alex's closet and get it reorganized. I dont think that will actually take too long but I do think that the trash dumpster will be overflowing.

I am actually kinda excited to have plans for NYE. Now the plans are less than specatular but at least they are plans. We have having a lock in for the Scouts at the local Armory. Lots of movies, games, snacks, and some basketball and such too. I think the kids will have fun and keep me up way too late.

The only other semi exciting soon happening is that I have to have my most recent cap redone monday. This one doesnt seem to fit right. Oh well. One more yucky visit and we are done.
