Its Almost Friday!

Today was the big day! The FIRST day of 7th grade in our house. The kid was SO nervous. Im not really sure why but he said he woke up at like 4am. Im sure the storm (that I slept through) had something to do with it and I doubt it was really that early but either way the kid was awful tired tonight. He said the day was great had to talk all about the teachers (one guy gave out 7 demerits today). We made sure we did the band book thing and its signed and he has $s for reeds and another book - I told him I get the change though.

I did manage to get my BP checked today too. It was down wonderfully to 110 /74 which is great since last Friday it was 142/92 so the new med must be doing its job.

I even managed a nap today.

I did a few PLF things. Our numbers are down. this is my 2nd summer in charge of it here and last summer we grew and grew. I know our numbers were hurt when the newspaper wouldn't run anymore articles unless I paid for them, but I do know every site has said that their numbers are down so its not just me. Crazy how healthy food in favor of cheap food is something that happens. At least with this program its inexpensive and healthy. Of course ya have to pay upfront and come pick it up and stuff. I am going to take a bunch of flyer's up to Relay for life next weekend. Maybe we can get some new people involved.

so another busy week is about to end. I am looking forward to the weekend but I have to admit next weekend will be crazy. Scouts have a short Relay for life thing Friday night. Saturday morning is PLF distribution and Saturday night is a scout trip to 81 speedway. WOW.

Oh yeah another high note. I got our tickets to Finger 11, Hinder, and 3 doors down in the mail today. The little bro thinks I am so cool and that I need to take him. He went to the black crows with mom last night - said it super sucked but got the Tshirt anyway. I cant imagine a bad concert but he said they did too many covers and not enough of their own. Alex is SO excited about the upcoming concert. He has never really been to a REAL concert. Ya know the loud crazy bands and stuff. He is in for it I think. If they have his way we will go to Avenged Sevenfold, Buck Cherry, Shinedown and saving abel later in September too. All I know is that it sounds loud and its yet another work / school night. We shall see.
